I didn’t do much this week, it was just job hunting and an interview, that unfortunately wasn’t suited to me. There was a lot of rain, grey skies and generally dull days, however, this weekend has been pretty nice.
On Saturday I made pancakes for breakfast which were yummy! They were banana and blueberry, and of course gluten and dairy free, and I guess without the sugar would’ve been pretty healthy, but I couldn’t resist putting sugar on top.
I spent the afternoon playing two new games, Eden and Township. Rhys was sorting out his old motorbike so I had time to spare. I did some doodling which was nice, I’ve been making more of an effort to take time to doodle and scribble more. Since looking at tattoos at the convention, knowing I won’t get one soon, I quite like drawing ones I see and wondering where they’d look nice.
We had a slow start on Sunday, not having breakfast until 12! But we didn’t really have any plans made so it was okay. We then went to Whitehall Garden Centre for an hour or so to look at the pretty flowers, huge hot tubs, sheds, succulents and got ourselves a fresh juice each that we drank in about 3 seconds.
They also have small pets, birds and fish, so we spent time looking at those too… I wasn’t so keen on the birds or hens!
We’re going to have my version of hunters chicken for dinner, since this has become our Sunday dinner equivalent. It’s so tasty and real easy. I just take quorn chicken fillets and oven cook them for 10 minutes, then take them out and cover with BBQ sauce and lactose free cheese and pop them back in for another 10 minutes. Cook off some frozen gluten free yorkshires, boil some veg and sometimes we’ll have chips or potatoes with it too.
Next week is going to be similar to this week I think. Just a lot of job hunting, a bit of cleaning and maybe some exploring of the area (but with the weather we’ve been having I’m not so sure that will happen).
